Cluson’s Smartlite Ecology Light series is specifically designed for use by ecological professionals. With a 1 million candle power lamp, 1000m beam and rugged, waterproof casing, they are a fantastic tool for nocturnal surveys. Each model comes with a main and secondary bulb, allowing the user to switch between a 1000m main beam and a less energy-intensive secondary beam to preserve the battery. The Ecology Smartlite come in three models: the SM-EL1, which includes an affordable 7Ah sealed lead acid battery that provides around 1.5hrs of power, and the SM-EL4 and 5, which come with lightweight 8.8Ah and 16Ah lithium-ion batteries to provide 2.25hrs and 4hrs of operation time respectively. 

The SM-EL1 comes with a CH5L lead battery acid charger included, while the SM-EL4 and 5 include a CH27 L-ion Battery Charger. Replacement chargers, batteries, and bulbs are available separately.
