This simple-to-use Secchi disk allows for a quick determination of water turbidity or the degree of underwater visibility in natural water supplies. It consists of a braided, stretch-resistant line and a weighted 20cm diameter black and white disc that sinks parallel to the water’s surface. For best results, use from the leeward side of a boat and dock between mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
