The Pettersson M500-384 USB Ultrasound Microphone allows to you to make high quality, full spectrum recordings of bat calls with a wide range of computers, tablets and smart phones. Like the original M500 the M500-384 is housed in a slim, durable aluminium case and uses the same advanced electret microphone technology as the D500X. It is supplied with a removable directional horn, so that recordings can be directional or omnidirectional to increase flexibility.

The M500-384 is an excellent choice for making ultrasound recordings from your smart phone and can be used with a range of operating systems including: Android, Linux (Ubuntu), OS X, iOS and Windows. The M500-384 is supplied with a mini-USB cable. In order to connect the M500-384 to a device with a micro USB jack an adapter with an OTG USB micro plug is required.

For use with iOS, the M500-384 requires a lightning to USB camera adapter and an app such as Ultrasonic Analyzer.
